With some basic things you probably already have in your cupboard you can make these flavored salts to spice up a dish or give as a gift! So easy your kids can help!

I got all my dried herbs and veggies ready to go then whirred them up in the food chopper.

Don’t do what I did! I was so excited to get the herb blend out of the food processor that I forgot it had cayenne PEPPERS in it! Next time I will HOLD MY BREATH! Phew…

Once everything was ground up I was ready to rock and roll. Having all the herbs and veggies in front of me gave me a chance to think of different combinations. Here’s a video to show you how simple this is and how quickly you can come up with different combinations! Want more ways to flavor salt? Check out my other recipe here.

Make your own flavored salts using just herbs and veggies!
- 1/4 cup salt; sea salt, kosher, coarse
- 3 tbsp any dehydrated veggie you like *OR*
- 3 tbsp any dehydrated herb you like (I like this one); mix a veggie and herb together too!
-
Measure out your salt and put in a bowl.
-
Decide what herb or veggie or combination of the two you want to use. If you have dehydrated herbs or veggies just run them through your food processor. Make it fine or coarse, it's up to you.
-
Mix together ingredients. Voila! You're done!
