There’s a Rustic Revival™ afoot and everyone has their own way of approaching it. Mr. Bluejeans and I decided years ago that we wanted to escape the hectic lifestyle we built for ourselves. It took some time and a LOT of planning but we’ve done it and if you have chosen this path, you can do it too!
I’m creating a series of interviews, as I come across like-minded souls who are attempting to simplify, whether its just a thorough removal of unwanted items or a vast change in lifestyle. Within these talks, I hope that you’ll find a few pearls of wisdom to help you down this path… that is, if this is the path you are taking!… and you have a thing for oysters…
Rustic Revival™: An uprising. It’s a nod to the past and a handshake with the future. The thought that a simpler life is a better life. Simple doesn’t necessarily mean laid back. It means living a more authentic lifestyle as our grandparents and great grandparents did.

Keep it Simple. Keep it Real.
Simplifying seems to be the word du jour so I thought it would be nice to talk with folks who are taking this path and find out what motivated them to make a change. For some… a big change.
My friend Susan is streamlining her life. A simplification of house and heart. She’s had enough of material possessions to “make things easier” and she’s starting to make big changes. She was kind enough to give us some of her time and insights as to why she’s doing this and how she’s going about it. The interview runs a bit long but I decided I didn’t want you missing any tidbits or gem of an idea that gets you aboard simplifying your life.
So without further adieu… Is Simpler Better?
