Flavored Salt using Vinegar & Hot Sauce

A fun way to create a personalized flavor for you spice cabinet or someone else's!

To Make Vinegar Salts

  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 2 tsp balsamic, malt vinegar or red wine vinegars; use your imagination but ONLY use 2 tsp


  1. In a bowl combine salt with your choice of citrus, zest or vinegars. Stir & dry.

  2. To dry you can preheat your oven to 350° then turn off once temperature is reached. Place salts on parchment paper lined cookie sheet and place in oven for slow dry or place in your dehydrator and follow manufacturers instructions for drying.

  3. *OR* you can leave on lined cookie sheet and let it rest on your counter for 1 to 2 days until dry. Bottle once your salts are dry.
