Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats

An easy to make peanut butter treat for your fur baby

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 cups whole wheat flour plus a bit extra to sprinkle on counter
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 each egg
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°

  2. In a large mixing bowl combine flour and baking powder. Add the egg and one cup of water. Mix until ingredients are well blended.

  3. Put in the one cup of peanut butter and two teaspoons of honey. Mix until the peanut butter and honey are well incorporated

  4. Sprinkle a bit of whole wheat flour on your countertop and work the dough a bit until it is smooth and plyable. Roll out your dough to about 1/4" - 1/2" thickness. Using cookie cutter, cut your shapes and place on a cookie sheet that is covered with parchment paper so the treats won't stick.

  5. Bake for about 20 minutes being sure to keep an eye on them. The treats should be a golden brown color.

  6. Remove and place on a wire rack to cool.
